"Esso Okinawa", seen here at Fawley on July 23 rd 1979.
"Esso Okinawa", a 255,000-ton supertanker, was delivered by Nippon Kokan to Esso Tanker Inc., of Liberia,
for service on the West Coast. The tanker is the first of three vessels ordered by the firm and is the ninth of
its class to be built at NKK's Tsu Shipyard. It is 1,109 feet in length, with a beam of 170 and a draft of 68.5
feet with a service speed of 15.4 knots.
Scrapped by Li Chong Steel & Iron, Kaohsiung : Arrived  4 April 1986.
