"Livingston Roe", was built in 1921 by the G.M. Standifer, Constr. Corp. at Vancouver, Wash.
After a fire at Recife in 1943, permanent repairs completed, the SS "Livingston Roe" carries on.
Picture shows the ship as she appeared in November, I943.
Sisterships are John Worthington, W. H. Libby, Christy Payne and Chester O. Swain.

Standifer
The 11,740-ton tanker John Worthington, built by the G. M. Standifer Construction Corporation, Vancouver, Washington, for the Standard Oil of New Jersey, was delivered in December, and a sister, the W. H. Libby, in January. A third sister, the Livingston Roe, was launched January 16.

Work on the 11,740 ton tanker Livingston Roe, built by the G. M. Standifer Construction Corporation, Vancouver, Washington, for the Standard Oil of New Jersey, is nearing completion.
This vessel is the last of three sisters for the Standard of New Jersey, but two more, Albertolite and Calgarolite, are building for Imperial Oil.

The G. M. Standifer Construction Corporation, Vancouver, Washington, delivered the 11,740-ton tanker Livingston Roe to the Standard Oil of New Jersey in February. This was the last of three for the Standard, but two sisters are under construction for Imperial Oil.
