Notes on loss
|
At 12.39 hours on 22 Jan, 1942, U-66 fired two stern torpedoes at an unescorted steamer, which broke in two and sank within one minute after being hit twice. The vessel was probably Olympic, which was reported missing after leaving Curaçao.
