Built 1919 at Tank Shipbuilding Corporation, Newburgh, New York, for Vacuum. Entered Socony's fleet by merger in 1931.
bayonne, as seen by her hull dimensions and deadweight tonnage, was a small coastal tanker. When she entered Socony's
fleet she was reclassified as a self-propelled barge, and as such she worked with our Inland Waterways fleet alongLong
Island Sound and the Hudson River.
She was sold in August 1945.
