MATCO CLYDE
LOA 798 '4 ", Beam 137 ' '9", 80,650 SDWT
Built 1982 by Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Oppama, Japan, especially for her owners, Matco Tankers (U.K) Lunited.
Powered by a Sulzer 6RLA90 engine developing 17,000HP, the vessel is equipped with bow thruster, variable pitch
propeller and segregated ballast tanks. Entered service as a North Sea shuttle tanker in 1982, and has been
employed ever since with MATCO AVON and MATCO THAMES, bringing oil ashore from the Beryl field.
Scrapped in 2004.
