Laid down, 30 August 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (T1-M-A2) tanker hull,
under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 1529), at East Coast Shipyards Inc.,
Bayonne, NJ;
Launched, 15 October 1944;
Acquired by the Navy from the Maritime Commission, 20 November 1944;
Commissioned USS "Narraguagas" (AOG-32), 2 December 1944, with a Coast Guard crew;
Decommissioned, 5 March 1946, at San Pedro, CA.;
Struck from the Naval Register, 16 April 1947;
Transferred to the Maritime Commission, June 1947, for disposal;
Sold by the Maritime Commission to Compania de Petroleo Lago, Maracaibo,
Venezuela, renamed "Esso Maracaibo".
