Westinghouse turbines, cross compund, double reduction gears, developing 4000 SHP at 75 RPM
Launched 24 May and commissioned 27 June 1941 at Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp., Quincy,
Massachusetts.
Stanvac Cape Town came through the war unscathed.
"Stanvac Cape Town" was build in 1941. Scrapped in 1960.

20 MM OERLIKON AA GUNS ARE ALSO CARRIED. SPAR DECKS HAVE BEEN
CONSTRUCTED ABOVE THE WELL DECKS FOR THE CARRIAGE OF DECK CARGO,
IN THIS CASE MOTOR TORPEDO BOATS.
