The 7 days war in 1967 and the closing of the Suez Canal, escalated the buildings of large oil tankers.
A lot of shipyards launched their own type of VLLC`s. Uddevalla Varvet, launched their own type, a standard
size 230 000 tdw (+/-), this yard delivered 10 ships in this series between 1969 and 1976.
9 ships where for Norwegian owners and flag, except the "Margareth Onstad".
This ship sailed under the Swedish flag.
