Supertanker in Singapore
The largest ship to call at the ESSO refinery so far - the 228,000 DWT TOHO MARU - was in Singapore on September 22.
The voyage-chartered tanker, carrying 1,700,000 barrels of Arabian crudes tied up to the SBM (Single Buoy Mooring) in Selat Sinki to discharge her cargo. The VLCC (very large crude carrier) measured 319 metres long and 53 metres wide.
