2 x Verolme/General Electric steamturbines, type 31.650 AHK/23,221 kW, built bij Verolme, IJselmonde.
Launch Aft ship on 30-10-1971, launch Aft ship by Mrs Jansma.
Launch Fore ship 31-12-1971 from ways 2/3, just like the Aft ship, launch Fore ship by Mrs Kuitse.
Christening by Mrs. D. Alan Sedgwick.
Delivery in April 1972.
First keel sections are laid down for the fore-ship.
