Acquired by the Navy, 5 January 1942;
Commissioned USS Winooski (AO-38), 27 January 1942, at Baltimore, MD.;
Decommissioned, 30 April 1946, at Norfolk, VA.;
Transferred to the Maritime Administration for disposal, 1 August 1946;
Struck from the Naval Register, 8 October 1946;
Renamed Calusa; Sold by the Maritime Commission, in 1947, renamed Samuel L Fuller; resold in,
1963, renamed Seanymph;
resold in 1964, renamed Meracoulosa;
Final Disposition, scrapped, at Kaohsiung, September 1965.
