Delivered to Kaiser Swan Island Yard, Portland, OR., for completion and conversion to a Fleet Oiler
Commissioned USS Sebec (AO-87), 29 March 1944
Decommissioned, 7 February 1946, at San Francisco, CA.
Struck from the Naval Register 26 February 1946
Transferred to the Maritime Commission, 1 July 1946, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet
Reinstated in the Naval Register, 28 April 1950
Assigned to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) and placed in service
as USNS Sebec (T-AO-87)
Placed out of service, struck from the Naval Register and returned to the Maritime Commission for
lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, 22 December 1955
Reinstated in the Naval Register, 21 July 1956, again assigned to MSTS, and placed in service
as USNS Sebec (T-AO-87) to be operated under contract for MSTS by the Joshua Hendy Corp.
Placed out of service, struck from the Naval Register, and returned to MARAD, 3 September 1957
Acquired by the US Army, 9June 1966 and converted to a floating power station for Vietnam service
at Bender Shipbuilding and Repair Co., Mobile, AL.
Final Disposition, fate unknown.

"USS Sebec (AO-87)" refueling an Escort Carrier (CVE) at sea, 2 October 1944.
The carrier is possibly "USS Kitkun Bay (CVE-71)", ten days before the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
