Keel laid 20-05-1943. Launched 29-07-1943. Completed 29-03-1944. Gr. 10448 t., Net. 6423 t., Dw. 16613 t. L.o.a. 159,57 m., Br. 20,78 m., Dr. 8,99 m. Engine: 2 steam turbines, manufactured by General Electric Company, Lynn, Massachussetts. 10000 B.h.p., 7356 kW. Speed 15 knots. 26 tanks.

SEBEC-1944 Delivered to Kaiser Swan Island Yard, Portland, OR., for completion and conversion to a Fleet Oiler
AO-87 SEBEC-1944 Commissioned USS Sebec (AO-87), 29 March.
AO-87 SEBEC-1946 Decommissioned, 7 February, at San Francisco, CA.Struck from the Naval Register 26 February. Transferred to the Maritime Commission, 30 June, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay Group, Benecia, CA.
AO-87 SEBEC--1946 Leased to Pacific Tankers Inc., 31 October, for service with the Naval Transportation Service (NTS)
AO-87 SEBEC-1950 Reinstated in the Naval Register, 28 April.
T-AO-87 SEBEC-1950 Assigned to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) and placed in service as USNS Sebec (T-AO-87)
T-AO-87 SEBEC-1955 Placed out of service, struck from the Naval Register and returned to the Maritime Commission for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay Group, 22 December.
T-AO-87 SEBEC-1956 Reinstated in the Naval Register, 21 July 1956, again assigned to MSTS, and placed in service as USNS Sebec (T-AO-87) to be operated under contract for MSTS by the Joshua Hendy Corp.
T-AO-87 SEBEC-1957 Placed out of service, struck from the Naval Register, and returned to MARAD, 3 September, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Beaumont, TX. Group
SEBEC-1966 Acquired by the US Army, 9 June and converted to a floating power station for Vietnam service at Bender Shipbuilding and Repair Co., Mobile, AL.
