Yardnumber 260. UMSC No. 544. Off. nr. 244391.
Keel laid 17-04-1943. Launched 15-09-1943. Completed 29-10-1943. Gr. 10172 t., Net. 6423 t., Dw. 16613 t. L.o.a. 159,57 m., Br. 20,78 m., Dr. 11,93 m. Engine: 2 steam turbines, manufactured by General Electric Company, Lynn, Massachussetts. 7240 B.h.p., 5401 kW. Speed 15 knots. 26 Tanks.

SAPPA CREEK-1943 for American Trading and Production Corp., Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
SAPPA CREEK-1946 Returned to the Maritime Commission, 20 July, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, James River Group. Lee Hall, VA.
SAPPA CREEK-1943 Withdrawn from Reserve, 8 May for operation by Keystone Shipping Co. under a General Agency Agreement.
SAPPA CREEK-1943 Title transferred to the US Navy 4 April.
AO-141SAPPA CREEK-1948 Placed in service by the Naval Transportation Service as Sappa Creek (AO-141), 28 April 1948, operated under charter by Marine Transport Lines.
T-AO-141 SAPPA CREEK-1949 Operational control transferred to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS), 1 October placed in service as USNS Sappa Creek (T-AO-141).
T-AO-141 SAPPA CREEK-1959 Placed out of service, and returned to the Maritime Administration, 7 December, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay, Benecia, CA.
SAPPA CREEK-1961 Title passed to the Maritime Administration, 1 April.
SAPPA CREEK-1961 Struck from the Naval Register, 1 July.
