 USS Ogeecee (AOG-35) is seen again from the port in Finger Bay, Adak, Alaska on April 13, 1945. Ogeecee is still in
camouflage 32/8AO and was damaged by a fire on the pier that at least scorched the paint.

Keel laid 07-05-1944. Launched 30-06-1944. Completed 31-08-1944.

L.o.a. 68,68 m., Br. 11,39 m., Dr. 4,06 m. Lloyds Register (IMO) or ID nr. 5261192.
Engine: 5 cyl 2SA 405 x 520 oil engine, manufactured by Fairbanks, Morse & Company, Beloit, Wisconsin. 790 B.h.p., 589 kW.
Speed 10 knots. 12 Tanks. Derrick: 1 x 3 t. Call sign: NHVQ.  
History:
1943 - Laid down, as OGEECHEE, 7 May 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (T1-M-A2) tanker hull, under Maritime Commission (MC hull 1798) contract at East Coast Shipyards Inc., Bayonne, N.J.
1944 - OGEECHEE Acquired by the Navy from the Maritime Commission, 31 August 1944.
1944 - OGEECHEE (AOG-35) Commissioned, 6 September 1944.
1946 - OGEECHEE (AOG-35) Decommisioned, 18 February 1946.
1946 - OGEECHEE (AOG-35) Struck from the Naval Register, 12 March 1946.
1946 - OGEECHEE 30 June 1946, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay, Benecia, CA.
1946 - OGEECHEE Transferredto the Maritime Commission, date unknown, for disposal.
1964 - OGEECHEE  Final Disposition, Sold for scrapping to NASSCO, 7 February 1964 (PD-X-657) for $12,290.55. Removed 2 March 1964
CASUALTY REPORTS.
Reported Ogeechee recommended for scrap. Ship suffered fire damage. Navy estimated in January 1948, that it would cost $400,000 to put ship in operable condition.
Reported Ogeechee sold to shipbreakers in USA. Arrived Terminal Island apr 1964 to be broken up.
