History:
1942 - SUMMIT SPRINGS - Laid down for U. S. Maritime Commission, USA.
1944 - SOLDIER CREEK - Acquired by the US Navy from the Maritime Commission, 10 February 1944.
1944 - Commissioned, 10 February 1944, as USS SEEKONK (AOG-20).
1946 - SEEKONK (AOG-20) Decommissioned, 1 May 1946, at San Francisco, CA.
1946 - SAKATONCHEE (AOG-19) Transferred to the Maritime Commission at the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay, Benecia, CA., for disposal as a merchant vessel, name reverted to MV SUMMIT SPRINGS.
1949 - SUMMIT SPRINGS Sold by the Maritime Commission, 28 January 1949, to Irving Steamship Ltd.
CASUALTY REPORTS.
Final Disposition,  SOLDIER CREEK, 7 June 1963, burned off Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, sold for scrapping.

Disposition
Suffered explosion and fire at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, June 7, 1963. Towed out of harbor and beach; fire extinguished on June 9. Declared constructive total loss and sold for scrapping.
