1944 - Laid down, as SACANDAGA, 7 June 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (T1-M-A2) tanker hull, under Maritime Commission (MC hull 1802) contract at East Coast Shipyards Inc., Bayonne, N.J.
1944 - SACANDAGA Completed and acquired by the US Navy, 28 October 1944.
1944 - SACANDAGA (AOG-40) Commissioned, 9 November 1944.
1945 - SACANDAGA (AOG-40) Grounded with damaged beyond economical repair at Baten Ko, Okinawa during Typhoon Louise, 9 October 1945.
1945 - SACANDAGA (AOG-40) Abandoned, stripped and finally decommissioned, 23 November 1945.
1945 - SACANDAGA (AOG-40) Final Disposition, declared a hazard to navigation and destroyed by demolition charges
