She began her life as a T-1 tanker, which were small product carriers, designed to carry gasoline. Almost all of them went
either to the U.S. Navy, as AOGs, or to Britain, for service in a similar role. Many units that were under construc-tion at the
end of the World War II were sold.
The Vincent Tibbetts was built by East Coast Shipyards(hull #15) and was originally named the Ochlockonee, she entered
service on the 29th of December 1944, her military designation was AOG 33.
She was sold in 1947 and renamed Tycol she was lengthened in 1949 and renamed as the Newark Getty 1958. In 1959, she
was acquired by Poling Bros and renamed the Poling Bros. No. 10. Texaco acquired her in 1967 and gave her the name
Texaco No. 10. She was re acquired by Poling Bros and regained the name Poling Bros. No. 10 in 1969. In 1974 she re-
ceived yet another name, she became the John P. Albans.
In 1974 she was acquired by Boston Fuel Transportation and she was renamed the Vincent Tibbetts, she was reefed off
New Jersey 2001.

1943 - Laid down, as OCHLOCKONEE, 18 October 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (T1-M-A2) tanker hull, under Maritime Commission (MC hull 1530) contract at East Coast Shipyards Inc., Bayonne, N.J.
1944 - OCHLOCKONEE Acquired by the Navy from the Maritime Commission, 18 December 1944.
1944 - OCHLOCKONEE (AOG-33) Commissioned, 29 December 1944.
1946 - OCHLOCKONEE (AOG-33) Decommisioned, 14 January 1946, at San Pedro, CA.
1946 - OCHLOCKONEE (AOG-33) Struck from the Naval Register, 7 February 1946.
1946 - OCHLOCKONEE , 4 September 1946, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay, Benecia, CA.
1947 - OCHLOCKONEE Transferred in June 1947, for disposal.
