"Niobe" was build in 1915 by Howaldtswerke AG, Kiel for the Deutsch- Petroleum GmbH, Hamburg.
1919 handed over to the Standard Shipping Co. of New Jersey, New York.
In 1927 to the Baltisch-Amerikanische Petroleum-Import GmbH, Hamburg.
In 1935 to the Panama .Transport Co., Panama.
From 1942 managed by the Anglo American oil Co., Ltd, London.
In 1945 returned to the Panama .Transport Co., Panama.
In 1949 laid up in New York.
1951 sold for breaking up.
 
Motor tanker "Niobe". Scrapped in 1950.
