Built by Ingalls Iron Works Co., Decatur. Her original designation was AL YN 1682 she was completed as the
M/T "Esso Connecticut" in May of 1969 for Humble Oil & Refining Co. of Wilmington, Delaware. She is powered
by two Caterpillar D 398 PC main engines rated at 850 RPMs each turning at 1,225 RPMs, for a rating of 1,700
horsepower. She was later fitted with Schottel Z-Drives in lieu of traditional straight shafts and fixed pitch propellers.
She was acquired by Exxon and renamed the "Exxon Connecticut" in 1973 and then in 1993 she was purchased by
Ecklof Marine and again, renamed as the "Great Gull".
In 2007, she was purchases by a Panamanian Company called Bunker Pro. and renamed the "Great Cristobal".
