Built 1959 by Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, Chester, Pennsylvania, and owned by Mobil Oil Corporation.

The vessel was powered by a steam turbine developing 16,000 HP.

She was sold to American Ocean Transportation Corporation in 1985 and broken up in 1986.
